Description

NVIDIA/Mellanox Compatible OSFP-800G-DR4 OSFP PAM4 Optical Transceiver Module (SMF, 1310nm, 500m, MTP/MPO-12 APC, DDM, RHS/Flat Top)

NADDOD OSFP-800G-DR4 adopts an OSFP Flat Top form factor, with 4×200G PAM4 on the electrical side and 4×200G PAM4 on the optical side. It operates at a 1310nm single-mode wavelength and achieves parallel optical transmission via a single-port MPO/MTP-12 APC interface, supporting single-mode fiber links up to 500 m in length. This module is primarily used for high-speed interconnection between TH6 series switches and ConnectX-9 (CX9) OSFP 800G network interface cards, suitable for large-scale AI training clusters, high-performance computing (HPC), and next-generation computing network architectures.

Questions & Answers

Ask a Question
Q:
What are the typical devices and use cases for the OSFP-800G-DR4?
A:
This product is primarily designed for use with CX9 network interface cards in RoCE scenarios, connected to TH6 series switches.
Q:
What is the difference between the OSFP-800G-DR4 and OSFP-800G-2xDR4 modules?
A:
The OSFP-800G-DR4 uses 4x212.5 Gb/s PAM4 on both the electrical and optical sides. It is a single-port MPO-12 module primarily used with CX9 network cards in Ethernet environments and connected to 1.6T switches; The OSFP-800G-2xDR4 uses 8x106.25 Gb/s PAM4 on both the optical and electrical sides, features a dual-port MPO-12 configuration, and is primarily used with 800G switches to connect to 400G network cards.
Q:
Can this module be used in an 800G switch?
A:
No, this module has a flat top housing. The switch must be equipped with an optical module featuring a finned top housing.
