Description

NVIDIA/Mellanox MCP7Y40-N001(980-9I80B-00N001) Compatible DAC 1m (3ft) Twin-port 2x400Gb/s OSFP Finned Top to 4x200Gb/s QSFP112 Flat Top InfiniBand NDR Passive Copper Splitter Cable

NADDOD O4Q112-800G-CU1H is an 800Gb/s Twin-port OSFP (Octal Small Form-factor Pluggable) to 4x200Gb/s QSFP112 (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable 112G) passive Direct Attach Copper (DAC) quad breakout (aka splitter) cable for 400Gb/s End-to-End Infiniband and Ethernet solutions. The 8-channel Twin port OSFP end uses a finned top form-factor for use in Quantum-2 and Spectrum-4 switch cages. The four 200G ends support 2-channels of 100G-PAM4 (200G) and use a flat top QSFP112 for use in ConnectX-7 adapters and BlueField-3 DPUs using riding heat sinks on the connector cage. DAC cables are the lowest-cost, lowest-latency, near zero power consuming high-speed links available due to their simplicity of design and minimal components.

Product Highlights

Lower-Power DACs Unleashing Maximum AI Performance

In a 128-node AI cluster, the hybrid interconnection solution (single-mode optical modules + DAC) saves over 20% in deployment costs and ~21.6% in total power consumption vs. an multi-mode optical modules solution. It eases cooling pressure of switches, cuts data center power costs, and DAC’s near-zero power optimizes PUE—building green, sustainable computing infrastructure while meeting interconnection needs.

Questions & Answers

Ask a Question
Q:
What are the main application scenarios for the O4Q112-800G-CU1H cable?
A:
It is used with OSFP-port switches, breaking out to 200G QSFP112 ports on ConnectX-7 NICs or BlueField-3 DPUs.
Q:
What is the difference between O4Q112-800G-AC1H and O4Q112-800G-CU1H?
A:
The O4Q112-800G-CU1H (DAC) is a passive copper cable without active components, providing the lowest cost, near-zero power consumption, and ultra-low latency for 800G to 4×200G InfiniBand and Ethernet interconnects within 3 meters. In contrast, the O4Q112-800G-AC1H (ACC) features an integrated equalizer circuit, extending the transmission distance up to 5 meters.
Q:
Can the O4Q112-800G-CU1H be used with 200G OSFP network cards?
A:
No, it cannot be used. QSFP112 and OSFP are two different form factors with inconsistent sizes, and they cannot be used together.
