Description

Cisco Compatible Passive Copper Splitter Cable, Twin Port 800Gb/s to 4x200Gb/s, OSFP to 4xQSFP112, 1m

NADDOD O4Q112-800G-CU1 is an 800Gb/s Twin-port OSFP (Octal Small Form-factor Pluggable) to 4x200Gb/s QSFP112 (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable 112G) passive Direct Attach Copper (DAC) quad breakout (aka splitter) cable for End-to-End Ethernet solutions. The 8-channel Twin port OSFP end uses a finned top form-factor for use in OSFP switch cages. The four 200G ends support 2-channels of 100G-PAM4 (200G) and use a flat top QSFP112 connector cage adapters. DAC cables are the lowest-cost, lowest-latency, near zero power consuming high-speed links available due to their simplicity of design and minimal components.

Questions & Answers
Ask a Question
Q:
If I only use 3 out of 4 branches of the branch cable and leave one branch uninstalled on the network card, will it affect the usage of the three branches?
A:
No, it won't affect. After port configuration and splitting, internally in the device, it is recognized as multiple logical ports. Each branch of the cable corresponds to a logical port, and they do not affect each other.
Q:
Why are there no 800G AOCs?
A:
OSFP is very large and heavy, and the fiber can break easily. A two-branch cable will have 3 large transceiver ends, and a four-branch cable will have 5 transceivers. This will almost certainly easily lead to fiber breakage during installation - especially for a 30m long AOC.
Q:
We have some 800G OSFP port switches connected with original cables, will there be any incompatibility issues if we use them with your cables?
A:
NADDOD cables comply with international standards and have good interoperability ,compatibility. It can be used with original cables.
