Description

OSFP-800G-AC5FH Compatible 5m (16ft) Twin-port 2x400Gb/s OSFP Flat Top to 2x400Gb/s OSFP Flat Top Active Copper Cable

NADDOD OSFP-800G-AC5FH is a 2x400Gb/s twin-port OSFP (Octal Small Formfactor Pluggable) Flat Top to 2x400Gb/s twin-port OSFP Flat Top Active Copper cable (ACC). ACC is a active DAC with a pre-emphasis equalizer IC included in each end, enabling cable lengths of up to 5 meters. Using the Octal Small Formfactor Plug (OSFP) and containing eight high-speed electrical copper pairs, each operating at data rates of up to 100Gb/s. NADDOD's cable solutions provide power-efficient connectivity enabling higher port bandwidth, density and configurability at a low cost and reduced power requirement in the data centers.

Questions & Answers

Ask a Question
Q:
What's the difference between ACC, DAC, and AEC cables?
A:
①DAC (Direct Attach Cable) is a passive copper cable with no chips, offering the lowest power consumption and cost but limited reach (typically ≤3m).

②ACC (Active Copper Cable) uses linear equalization and amplification to extend reach to 3–5m while maintaining relatively low power consumption.

③AEC (Active Electrical Cable) uses DSP-based retimers for stronger signal processing, enabling longer distances but with higher power and cost.

ACC sits between DAC and AEC, providing a balanced solution in terms of reach, power consumption, and cost.
Q:
Is the OSFP-800G-ACCFH compatible with 800G switch platforms?
A:
No. The Flat Top (RHS) housing is slightly smaller than the finned-top version and does not fit switch ports. For switch interconnects, you can use the 800G OSFP ACC with a finned-top housing, for example OSFP-800G-ACCH.
Q:
What applications is the OSFP-800G-ACCFH suited for?
A:
The OSFP-800G-ACCFH is designed for server-side NIC ports. Unlike finned-top modules used on switches, the Flat Top (RHS) structure is compact and flat, making it ideal for tight NIC cages in servers or GPU nodes. It ensures mechanical compatibility and secure fit.
