NADDOD 200G InfiniBand Cable Products Introduction

NADDOD Abel InfiniBand Expert Dec 15, 2022

Due to the release of 200G HDR InfiniBand solution, HDR 200G InfiniBand high-speed cables are widely used in data center, artificial intelligence field markets due to its low latency, low power consumption and low cost. This article introduces you to NADDOD 200G HDR InfiniBand cable features.

NADDOD HDR InfiniBand DAC Cables

NADDOD offers InfiniBand Direct Connect DAC cables, the lowest cost way to create high-speed, low-latency 200G/HDR links in InfiniBand switched networks, with different meter counts to meet different distance requirements for NVIDIA GPU-accelerated AI end-to-end systems.

Product Description

Q56-200G-CU*H

200G InfiniBand HDR QSFP56 DAC cable is a fiber optic alternative available in 1m, 2m, and 3m for 200Gb/s InfiniBand HDR short-haul applications. The Q56-200G-CU*H contains eight high-speed copper pairs with data rates up to 50Gb/s per copper pair, and each QSFP56 port includes an EEPROM that provides product information that can be read by the host system. NADDOD provides efficient connectivity for short-haul interconnects, which enables higher port bandwidth, density and configurability at a lower cost, and reduces data center power requirements. In 200G short-haul (1-5m) device interconnects (e.g., servers to TOR switches), using 200G QSFP56 DAC high-speed cables is more price effective than 200G AOCs.

Q56-200G-CU1H

200G InfiniBand HDR QSFP56 DAC cable is a fiber optic alternative that is available in 1m, 2m, and 3m for 200Gb/s InfiniBand HDR short-haul applications. It has a 200Gb QSFP56 port on one end and two 100Gb QSFP56 ports on the other end, providing connectivity from the 200G port to the 100G port. Each QSFP56 port includes an EEPROM that provides product information that can be read by the host system. The NADDOD provides efficient connectivity for short-haul interconnects by enabling higher port bandwidth, density and configurability at a lower cost and reducing data center power requirements.

NADDOD HDR InfiniBand AOC Cables

NADDOD provides two types of HDR InfiniBand AOC, such as QSFP56 to QSFP56 AOC and QSFP56 to 2X100G QSFP56 AOC, which can ensure high reliability of transmission due to the AOC cable’s low power consumption, low electromagnetic influence and strong heat dissipation.

Product description

Q56-200G-A*H

200G InfiniBand HDR QSFP56 AOC is a QSFP56 VCSEL-based active optical cable (AOC) with longer transmission distances than data center passive copper cables, available in 3m, 5m, 7m, 10m, 15m, 20m, 30m, designed for 200Gb/s InfiniBand HDR systems. Because the AOC is hot-swappable, it is easy to install and replace, and enables higher port bandwidth, density and configurability at a lower cost, and reduces data center power requirements. However, AOCs are not suitable for cross-cabinet cabling because they carry modules on both sides, so they are generally used in interconnection scenarios where the distance is less than 30 meters.

Q2Q56-200G-A*H

200G InfiniBand HDR QSFP56 Breakout AOC is a QSFP56 VCSEL-based, cost-effective 200Gb/s HDR to 2x100Gb/s HDR100 active branch AOC available in 1m, 3m, 5m, 7m, 10m, 15m, 20m, 30m and designed for 200Gb/s InfiniBand HDR systems. Q2Q56-200G-A*H enables interconnection between a 200G port on one side and a 100G port on the other side, such as a switch and two servers. The NADDDOD provides efficient connectivity for short-haul interconnections, which enables higher port bandwidth, density and configurability at a lower cost, and reduces data center power requirements.

Connection Environment

The diagram below shows a high-bandwidth, low-latency, and highly reliable InfiniBand connection by connecting a leaf switch to the GPU server’s HCA card and storage devices using QSFP56-2xQSFP56 branch AOC cables, and up to a spine switch at the same rate using QSFP56-QSFP56 direct-attach AOC cables.
