NVIDIA/Mellanox MCP7Y40-N01A Compatible Passive Copper Splitter Cable, Twin Port 800Gb/s to 4x200Gb/s, OSFP Finned Top to 4xQSFP112 Flat Top, 1.5m
NADDOD O4Q112-800G-CUB is an 800Gb/s Twin-port OSFP (Octal Small Form-factor Pluggable) Finned Top to 4x200Gb/s QSFP112 (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable 112G) Flat Top passive Direct Attach Copper (DAC) quad breakout (aka splitter) cable for End-to-End Ethernet solutions. The 8-channel Twin port OSFP end uses a finned top form-factor for use in OSFP switch cages. The four 200G ends support 2-channels of 100G-PAM4 (200G) and use a flat top QSFP112 connector cage adapters. DAC cables are the lowest-cost, lowest-latency, near zero power consuming high-speed links available due to their simplicity of design and minimal components.
In a 128-node AI cluster, the hybrid interconnection solution (single-mode optical modules + DAC) saves over 20% in deployment costs and ~21.6% in total power consumption vs. an multi-mode optical modules solution. It eases cooling pressure of switches, cuts data center power costs, and DAC’s near-zero power optimizes PUE—building green, sustainable computing infrastructure while meeting interconnection needs.
