NADDOD Arista OSFP-400G-2xSR4 Compatible optical transceiver is an eight-channel, parallel, pluggable fiber-optic OSFP for 400 Gigabit Ethernet applications, featuring a finned-top design. It integrates eight data lanes in each direction at 8×26.5625 GBd. The OSFP 2xSR4 supports transmission lengths of up to 100 meters over OM4 multimode fiber (MMF).

The 400G OSFP 2xSR4 is intended for short-reach, high-bandwidth data communication and interconnect scenarios in modern data centers. This module is primarily used on OSFP switch ports, such as the N9500-64OC or Arista 7060X6-64PE, and connects to 200G QSFP56 NICs via 12-core multimode MPO patch cables (e.g., M4MPOA12FB), enabling interconnection between an 800G OSFP switch and 200G NICs.

Can this module be used with a CX7 OSFP 400G NICs?

No, it cannot. This module uses a finned top design, intended for switch-side deployment. For NIC-side use, flat top optical modules are recommended, such as OSFP-400G-SR8 or OSFP-400G-SR4.
