The XDR Q3400-RA switch, due to its multiplane internal design, supports only 400G and 800G per port. In contrast, the Q3200-RA comprises two switches, each with a throughput of 28.8Tb/s, and supports a range of port speeds including 40, 56, 100, 200, 400, and 800Gb/s.

Currently, there are no switches that simultaneously support both IB and Ethernet. However, according to the IB standard, Ethernet data (IPv4/IPv6) can be transmitted over an IB network using IP over InfiniBand (IPoIB) tunneling technology.

The subnet manager is the core controller of an IB network, responsible for network initialization, routing, and partitioning. It can be deployed on managed IB switches or on Linux servers with the OFED driver installed. The subnet manager is a component of UFM (Unified Fabric Manager), which is a comprehensive platform that includes various modules such as Telemetry, Enterprise, and Cyber-AI. For example, UFM Enterprise provides web-based management, monitoring, and analysis for the entire IB network, including HCAs, cables, and switches. Deploying UFM requires a server that meets specific software requirements and is equipped with an IB network card to provide in-band connectivity.
