Description

NVIDIA/Mellanox MCP4Y10-N001 Compatible 1m (3ft) Twin-port 2x400Gb/s OSFP Finned Top to 2x400Gb/s OSFP Finned Top Passive Copper Cable

NADDOD OSFP-800G-CU1H is a 2x400Gb/s twin-port OSFP (Octal Small Formfactor Pluggable) Finned Top to 2x400Gb/s twin-port OSFP Finned Top Direct Attached Copper cable (DAC). DAC cables are the lowest-cost, lowest-latency, near zero power consuming, high-speed links available due to their simplicity of design and minimal components. Using the Octal Small Formfactor Plug (OSFP) and containing eight high-speed electrical copper pairs, each operating at data rates of up to 100Gb/s. NADDOD’s cable solutions provide power-efficient connectivity enabling higher port bandwidth, density and configurability at a low cost and reduced power requirement in the data centers.

Lower-Power DACs Unleashing Maximum AI Performance

In a 128-node AI cluster, the hybrid interconnection solution (single-mode optical modules + DAC) saves over 20% in deployment costs and ~21.6% in total power consumption vs. an multi-mode optical modules solution. It eases cooling pressure of switches, cuts data center power costs, and DAC’s near-zero power optimizes PUE—building green, sustainable computing infrastructure while meeting interconnection needs.

Why NADDOD

  • Module Availability
    Worry-Free - Rigorous authentic testing!

Our Approach

Test scene
Test scene
NADDOD stringently selects a series of items in a professional testing environment to ensure the perfect blend of product performance and reliability. Including hardware compatibility (plugging, unplugging, rebooting), software compatibility (connectivity, parameters) and performance testing (DDM, BER, stability).

Questions & Answers

Ask a Question
Q:
Why are there no NDR AOCs?
A:
OSFPs are very large and heavy and the fiber breaks easily. A two-splitter cable will have three large transceiver ends. A four-splitter cable will have five transceivers. That would almost certainly make it easy to break the fiber during installation - especially for a 30 meter AOC.
Q:
What is the maximum transmission distance of the OSFP-800G-DACH cable?
A:
The passive DAC can provide up to 3M.
Q:
We have some QM9700 NDR switches connected with original IB cables, if we use them together with your cables will there be any incompatibility problems?
A:
NADDOD IB cables meet international standards, with good interoperability and compatibility, and are able to be paired together with the original cables.

We’ve mixed these with other OEM DACs in the same switch and saw no interoperability issues at all.

Price is reasonable for an 800G DAC. It’s a cost-effective choice compared to optics when distance is short.
